Junior Electrical Estimator - Reactive Maintenance - Planned Works -

We are looking for a Junior Electrical Estimator to be based in our head office in Hainault, who will undertake projects within various commercial sectors including retail, education, leisure and residential.

Working alongside the electrical estimator you will produce quotes for various high profile clients following reactive and planned electrical works. The estimators produce a large quantity of quotes (approx. 100 per week) with values ranging from £1000-£50000. All quotes are produced using their purpose-made templates built within excel. Training will be provided but a good understanding of excel is required. Estimates are produced from engineers details and reports, so the estimators work closely with the engineers. Therefore, the estimators need to be able to manage the engineers so that the correct details are provided and in a timely manner.

  • Minimum 3 years experience as an Electrical Engineer (hands on)
  • 17th edition qualification
  • Previous experience estimating and pricing up works
  • Experience working within the commercial and retail industry
  • Experience of working within an office environment would be an advantage, but not essential
  • Very good working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to work closely and liaise with Clients
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Willing to cover on-call managerial duties when required 

 

Combustion / mechanical engineer

Employment Type – Permanent

Start Date - Immediate

The company covers nationally and specialise in; design, service, maintenance, breakdown, supply and installation of gas, heating, hot and cold water services. The successful candidate must be motivated, disciplined, flexible with a can-do approach. Role Carry out service, maintenance, repairs and fault finding to commercial and domestic -

  • Gas fired plant, heating, hot and cold water systems. Pumps and motors
  • Pipework
  • Experience on the following but not limited to -
  • Nu Way, Riello, Dunphy, Saacke, burners
  • Broag, Hamworthy, Potterton AO Smith, Viessman, boilers Gas & oil

Commercial & domestic catering Controls / Actuators / Instruments. Engineers will need flexibility to be on call approximately one week in five. Engineers will be expected to work from time to time out of hours and weekends. Requirements To have at least four years’ experience post apprenticeship, with a track record of servicing, fault finding and repairing gas / oil systems Must have a proven track record of fault finding and direct client interactions. Full commercial & domestic gas safe certificates Full UK Driving Licence (Clean).

Additional: (preferable but not mandatory)

  • Recent DBS
  • IOSH
  • PASMA
  • IPAF / MEWP

 

Air Con / Refrigeration Engineer

Employment Type – Permanent

Start Date - Immediate

SEE specialise in; design, service, maintenance, breakdown, supply and installation of refrigeration equipment, air conditioning systems, control systems, heating and ventilation. The successful candidate must be motivated, disciplined, flexible with a can-do approach. Role Carry out service, maintenance, repairs and fault finding to air conditioning and refrigeration units in residential, commercial and industrial premises to include:

Chillers and cold rooms. Fan Coil Units (FCUs). Air Handling Systems / AHUs. Refrigeration. Daikin, Mitsubishi and Other Manufacturers knowledge e.g. VRV, VRF, split units, etc. Controls / Actuators / Instruments. Engineers will need flexibility to be on call approximately one week in five. Engineers will be expected to work from time to time out of hours and weekends. Requirements To have at least four years’ experience post apprenticeship, with a track record of servicing, fault finding and repairing air conditioning systems. Must have a proven track record of fault finding and direct client interactions. 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants (F-Gas) Cat 1. Level 2 NVQ Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent experience. Full UK Driving Licence (Clean).

Electrical Contracts Manager

An electrically qualified Contracts Manager is required to assist in the management of our live store refurbishment and new store fit out programme. This is a full time position with an immediate start and the successful new colleague will be expected to perform the following;

  • Via Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access, track all projects assigned to them, ensuring that all milestones in the process for project completion are met.
  • Liaise with client appointed Project Managers and Cost Managers.
  • Liaise with Main Contractor appointed Project Managers.
  • Attend site meetings in order to understand the project scope of works, ensure scope has been met and to hand over completed projects.
  • Build costs for each project and submit to client.
  • Ensure labour is available and appointed to project with the correct start on site date.
  • Ensure materials are ordered and delivered to site on time.
  • Ensure that Risk Assessments and Method Statements are in order and issued to all necessary parties.
  • Liaise closely with the client project manager to ensure that variations from agreed scope are captured and approved.
  • Spot check our team’s work and performance on site & check safe working practices are being used.
  • Compile and submit final accounts for each project.
  • Ensure project completion manuals are submitted, including test certificates.

Duties are not limited to the above but these are the main points. A sound working knowledge of Health & Safety will be required though not necessarily H&S qualifications. The role may suit a site supervisor wishing to progress into Contract Management or a qualified electrician who is willing to learn Contract Management.

Core hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00.

Multi Trade Building Engineers

We are currently recruiting for multi trade engineers for reactive works jobs in London and the South East. The Engineer will be provided with their own van, phone and PDA, experience required, qualifications desired but not essential. Monday to Friday 8.30 - 5.30pm. Call out required on shift rota.

Mechanical Contracts Manager
